July 2015 Favorites

This is my first Favorite post and I'm super excited to be sharing what I've been loving over the month. Can't believe how quick Summer is flying by and were two months gone already but here's what I'm been loving over July....

Fashion Faves
I have three fashion faves this month and they are my gorgeous yet casual grey skirt from Pennys/Primark, my freaking adorable ombre effect cardi I picked up in M&S and also for a bit of fun my cowboy hat I got at an American Western festival.

Music
As always I've a bunch of favourite songs that I can't pick between so heres a couple
Little Mix-Black Magic                                  James Bay- Let It go
Silento- Watch Me                                             George Ezra- Barcelona
Selena Gomez- Good For You                                 Britney Spears Ft. Iggy Azela- Pretty Girls

Movies
It's an oldie but one of my all time favorites and that is Pitch Perfect which was on tv recently, it will never get old , from the music, the comedy and Fat Amy what is not to love.
Again an oldie but I really like Sydney White, basically a new take on Snow White and the seven Dwarfs I just really love the fun storyline and that moment when they walk past and one of the lads says "Hey Hoe" has me in stitches every time, you know it right?
Tv
I can't put into words how much I love Tattoo Fixers a new show on E4, Sketch Lou and Jay are amazingly talented and quite hilarious too, if anything this show has made me want to get my tattoo even more.
Everyone knows Hollyoaks is my one and only soap and now with the special Six Weeks of Summer going on big drama is happening and I'm even more into it.

Bloggers
Dorkface blog is one of my all time favorite blogs, the photos are so sleek, the content is interesting and Jemma the owner of the blog is so creative in crafts especially her planners and organisers. This blog inspires me every day and it's one I always look forward to reading.

Botanica: Magic in a tub

Now I'm not a beauty blogger trying to sell a product.. this is sheer magic and I just have to share it.
The reason I know what Botanica is, is because we use it at work on animal wounds. Yes you read correctly, animals, but it is also for human and that's just where the magic starts.
You're probably wondering why I keep saying magic but it's the only way I can describe it, I've never seen a simple cream to work so amazingly before and can not describe just how amazing it is, honestly I can't recommend this more.
I didn't believe how good it was till I tried it, honestly it smells and looks just like sudocrem.. what could it actually do?
I had a breakout of an ugly ass spot on my chin so decided to but botanica to the test and put some on the spot going to bed. I woke up the next morning with the spot completely gone and my skin flawless, totally healed.
Later I had a bad bite on my hand, botanica flushed out the infection, healed the wound and also provided a antiseptic which eased the pain.
It genuinely is amazing and the main reason behind it is it's only natural ingredients.. Tea tree oil, Lavender oil and Aloe Vera.

Botanica is amazing for acne, wounds/cuts and any general skin problems. I'm going to stick by this and deffo recommend it to everyone.

one dog and his birthday cake....

This has gotta be my favourite, he's looking like "take the darn picture and let me eat it already"

Thrift Store Haul

Working in a thrift shop means I have all day to have a look around and find little items that I love, need or just simply can't pass up because they're such a bargain.  I get a few items every so often and wanted to share some of them here...

I normally would never go for a roll neck jumper, they've been my meniscus she I was kid but when I seen this one I actually quite liked it. From the warm colour, to the causal pattern I instantly thought of Autumn when I seen it and picture wearing it with black leggings and some ugg boots. I also got this lovely jeggings for like €2, love how they're the casualness of jeans with added extreme softness.

There is slightly a running theme here with the warm jumpers, I'm getting prepped for Autumn/winter and looking for casual warm items for college. I love how simple this gorgeous woolly jumper is and honestly its as warm as it looks

This lacey number is something I wouldn't normally go for but I instantly pictured it with my faux leather jeggings for a night out and I do quite like it now.

I got this skirt a while back when I was heading off on festival season and loved the pattern and colours but also the strange look like someone has been nifty with a scissors then sewed on the bottom part. I love that you can find random bits like this in thrift stores, and it also makes you give new looks a chance.

At first when I got this dress I had imagined working with it to make maybe a scarf or skirt because I just love the leave and tree patterns on it but then I tried it on and actually quite liked the dress as it is and decided to leave it.

Lastly I got this absolutely adorable scarf that I love so much. I love the pattern, colour and surprising warmth and again picture wearing this in autumn.

I honestly love thrift store shopping now and highly recommend it. You never know what you might come across and usually there great bargins so whats not to love.

In the Zone and doing something I love

I am absolutely loving blogging lately, getting everything written, photos taken and the post scheduled and the more I do the more I love. I spent a good hour the other evening making a list (as I do) of posts to do and ideas for things I can do posts about. I love having somewhere I can look back on ideas I had, things I've done or liked and being able to share that too with people who might be interested. The more blogs I find and read the more I get into it and having a blogging community really boosts your confidence knowing there's people with the same interest who have your back.

I'm excited to continue blogging and being able to read back on posts in years to come.. and to see what posts in the future will be like.

20 Things Before I'm 20 || Update

Back in October I set myself the challenge of 20 things to do before I turned 20 and I've been working on them all year. I've made a few into films on my Youtube channel and will be doing the rest on my blog so keep a look out.. hopefully if I can get the rest done in the next 3 months..

Do an Activity I've always wanted to try

Get a spur of the moment haircut/style

Get a Job outside my interests

Learn to play an instrument

*Visit my best friend Abroad

For the next couple I don't think it counts as cheating to have done them all at the same time but while at all the festivals over summer I've managed to tick of these few..
*Go to a festival... Life festival, Sea Sessions & Bhakti Fest
* Sleep under the stars.. technically I didn't actually sleep but I lay under the stars every night
*Dance in the rain... boy did I do a lot of that, don't think there was actually I time where it wasn't raining as I danced with my mates.
*Meet new people... I can happily say I've met friends for life at all the festivals especially Sea Sessions and will never forget them, not that they'd let me.
*Watch the sunrise... one of the highlights had to be the last night/morning at Life festival when I met a great bunch of people and we sat up all night outside talking until the sun rose on a beautiful day and everyone just paused for a minute to watch it.

Cowboys & Heroes Festival

With the ISPCA we were asked to volunteer at a local American Country Festival which were sponsoring the ISPCA. Both days were quite quiet to be honest, we did face painting, sold raffle tickets that kind of thing... but the night... now that was a different story. We finished at 6pm and luckily enough I had my best friend volunteering with me so we headed back to my house got all dressed up country style.. the check shirts, cowboy hats, boots the lot and then headed back to the festival around 9pm. Now I'm not the biggest country music fan but this was not what I was expecting at all. From about less than 100 people with kids running around all day to 8000 people packed into a horse jumping arena proper mosh pitting at the front, line dancing and going mental at the back and just general madness it certainly changed my mind about country music. Nathan Carter was the headline for tonight and again I was never really into him.. but two seconds on stage changed alllllll of that. I've been to concerts, festival, the lot and have never seen someone perform the way he did. He had a laugh with the crowd from a shout out to all the pensioners to going down into the crowd when someone held up a tissue to mop his brow, he leaped around like running out of energy wasn't a thing to be worried about and the accordion weighed less than a feather  and he went from one song straight into the next after belting it out giving his all. I honestly had one of the best nights. I think thats the way it is the best.. the unexpected nights are the best. We danced and went pure mental all night, we even met Nathan and had a picture and finally as it was all dying down we headed for home at 4am (again unexpected) walking out the road to the line of pick up cars, it felt like being back in the day going home from an old style barn dance.
